And the results are out!!!

The top ten finalists of the Sing! Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games battled it out at the final showdown on 5 March 2010, 7.00 pm at the Street CLAP! (Community Life Arts Programme) stage at Far East Plaza.

These top ten finalists have been narrowed down from a total of 107 entries submitted for this competition.

Mayor Zainudin Nordin, Mayor for Central Singapore District, and Chairman of the Community Outreach Advisory Committee of the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC) was heartened at the response to Sing! Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games. "This initiative is held in celebration of the world's inaugural Youth Olympic Games. It aims to encourage the community to be part of the Games through musical expression and appreciation. We have seen the community - both Singaporeans and friends from the region - coming forward to express their creativity as a way of showing their support for and excitement over Singapore 2010. Sing! Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games is an initiative which truly facilitates community participation and ownership of the Games, and underlines the Olympic values of Friendship, Excellence and Respect."

On behalf of the entire organising team, we would like to thank all of you who have supported the Sing! Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games in one way or another, with special mentions to the contestants who shared with us their inspiring original compositions in celebration of Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games; the celebrity judges - Mr Ken Lim, Mr Taufik Batisah and Mr Hong Jun Yang, the youth judges, Mr Phua Chao Rong Charles, Mr Yu Dan Quan and Mr Dex Wong; the supporters who voted for their favourite songs; and and all the volunteers who went the extra mile to make this event a great success!
